Position: Assistant General Manager
Location: Nashville, TN
Pay: $65,000-$80,000/year

Job Summary

Supports the General Manager in leading daily restaurant operations, delivering an exceptional guest and team experience. Oversees FOH and BOH teams, drives sales and cost control, and ensures smooth day-to-day execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily shifts (opening/closing) for efficient operations
• Coach, develop, and support FOH & BOH team members and managers
• Deliver excellent guest service and resolve issues quickly
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
• Support sales growth, cost control, and financial performance
• Conduct pre-shift meetings, line checks, and shift walk-throughs
• Manage cash handling, inventory, ordering, and reporting
• Ensure food quality, safety, sanitation, and compliance standards
• Support administrative, HR, and operational processes

Requirements

• Restaurant management experience in a high-volume environment
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, financials, and labor management
• Ability to multitask and lead in a fast-paced setting
• Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays)
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Tacos El Terry is a high-energy, quick-service taqueria. We will focus on a simple, quality menu featuring 4–5 made-to-order tacos, chips, guacamole, and fresh salsas. Every taco is made-to-order and served on fresh handmade tortillas. Our beverage program will focus on the classics; margaritas, palomas, and ice-cold beer. We are seeking a foundational team of hospitality and culinary professionals to operate this high-volume and exciting Broadway location on Nashville’s most iconic street.
