Hiring: Bilingual Senior Immigration Paralegal Supervisor
Salary Range: $41,600 – $52,000 annually ($20-$25 hourly)
Location: Garland, TX
This role is essential in bridging the language and cultural gap between Spanish-speaking clients and the legal system. The bilingual capability is crucial for effective client service and ensuring that all clients receive accurate and comprehensible legal guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising Paralegal Staff: Led and managed a team of immigration legal assistants, providing training, mentorship, and guidance on complex immigration cases.
- Case Management: Handle a substantial caseload involving various immigration matters, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Bilingual Client Interaction: Effectively communicate with clients in both Spanish and English, gathering information, providing updates, and guiding them through immigration processes.
- Legal Research and Documentation: Conduct comprehensive legal research, stay up to date with the latest immigration laws and policies, and prepare legal documents, briefs, and submissions to government entities.
- Quality Control: Ensure all filings comply with current laws and regulations and verify the accuracy and completeness of documents.
- Liaising with Government Agencies: Interact with USCIS, consulates, and other government agencies, managing communication in both English and Spanish as needed.
- Reporting and Compliance: Maintain accurate records and reports for compliance purposes, and keep the team and clients informed about changes in immigration law.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: Preferably a paralegal certification, with a minimum of two years of experience as an immigration paralegal.
- Bilingual Language Skills: Fluency in both Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate complex legal information clearly in both languages.
- Legal Knowledge: Deep understanding of U.S. immigration laws and procedures.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written skills in both Spanish and English.
- Organizational Skills: Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.
- Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in legal case management software (Docketwise) and standard office applications.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership qualities and excellent teamwork skills.
