Hiring: Maintenance Mechanic (2nd Shift)
Location: Paramount, CA
Pay: $27.88+/hour
*Depending on Experience.

Job Summary:

Maintenance Mechanics oversee the machine’s performance and upkeep and coordinates the maintenance of machinery with managers of the organization. Unless a machine breaks down, maintenance typically occurs during off-peak hours, so production continues efficiently. Mechanics clean the machine entirely by removing parts and cleaning thoroughly. They oil or lubricate moving parts so that they continue working effectively. If they see any parts that may be damaged or broken, they document the problem and order new parts for the machine. If the maintenance mechanic is working on a machine that broke down unexpectedly, they are responsible for fixing it as quickly and efficiently as possible so there is as little downtime as possible. Mechanics’ schedules may vary (any shifts) and possibly work weekends.

Qualifications:

• Education Desired: High School Diploma / Post-Secondary / Trade School
• 2 years of Maintenance Mechanic work experience or equivalent knowledge within a food grade manufacturing facility preferred.
• Vacuum form and fill Packaging machinery and / or high-speed bottling packaging line experience preferred.
• Fluid Processing experience preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
• Electrical knowledge of control, low and high voltage systems
• Previous Experience Desired: Food/Dairy very helpful

Required Skills:

The ideal candidate needs to demonstrate excellent working knowledge of 2 or more of the following:

• Centrifugal pumps
• Positive displacement pumps
• Form and fill vacuum packaging
• High speed bottling packaging
• Centrifugal separation
• Pasteurization systems
• Control systems
• 480v systems including VFD knowledge
• SQF food safety system
• Excellent troubleshooting skills for electrical and pneumatic systems
