Job Title: Sales Engineer & Technical Support

Report To: Director of Sales

Position Summary:

Planning, directing and coordinating sales of all Dorian Tool product lines.

Job Duties and Responsibilities and Authority:

• Develop, expand and manage the marketing, distribution network and sales of all Dorian Tool product lines.
• Plan, establish and document work process flowcharts and procedures to maximize operating efficiency.
• Set and achieve annual sales goals.
• Evaluate competition’s market share and find new opportunities to develop business.
• Facilitate the preparation of sales reports.
• Conduct Product and sales support training, customer product training, advertisement, promotions, open houses and tool shows.
• Organize and manage business meetings.
• Responsible for travel to manage sales, sales people, and manufacturer’s representatives, distributors and end users.
• In charge of distribution network including but not limited to discounts, account opening/closing, and all business negotiations.
• Understanding of the competition and current technology and identification of new opportunities for business.
• Responsible for national sales, distribution, manufacturers’ representatives, and end users.
• Perform other responsibilities assigned by Management.
• Confer with management to resolve problems or issues.
• Follow and enforce safety policies.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree with 3 years experience working in the Machine Tool Industry or 5 years working in Industrial Distribution. Must be computer literate and have knowledge of business, management practices, and strategic planning.

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to communicate effectively and clearly in dealing with customers, by phone, verbally and in writing. Ability to negotiate and make decisions for the financial gain of the Company. Active listener, critical thinker and complex problem solver.

Physical Demands:

Standing, walking, bending, sitting, reaching outward, and reaching above shoulders, climb stairs, squatting, kneeling, bending, good sense of sound, vision, sense of smell, sense of touch, ability to ware personal protective equipment such as steel toe boots and safety glasses when needed.
