Class 1 and 3 Drivers $30-$32 depending on qualifications and previous experience.
The Opportunity
This position requires the candidate to safely operate, drive and maintain manual transmission (13 or 18 speed) Class 1 or Class 3 units such as Hydro Vac, Vacuum, Combo, and Water trucks, providing support on projects across Canada during shutdowns/turnarounds with provided accommodations for the duration of the projects.
In addition to all laborer duties: the operator will be performing high pressure washing and blasting; driving equipment to/from various customer sites; rigging the equipment in and out; staging equipment. Will be working in and around Confined Spaces in industrial settings.
Please note: Candidate must provide 5-year drivers abstract with no more than 3 infractions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes;
- Operate and drive a variety of industrial services equipment;
- Perform pre/post trip inspections;
- Maintain equipment and perform general repairs;
- Communicate with dispatcher;
- May transport hazardous goods.
- Work in confined spaces such as vessels and tanks under supplied air
Key Qualifications
- Class 1 or 3Q driver’s license with a clean 5-year drivers abstract;
- Must successfully complete Clean Harbors’ driver qualifications;
- 6+ months of previous industrial services or Shutdown/ Turnaround experience is an asset;
- Willing and able to travel for extended periods and the ability to work shifts (Various shift options (6/1, 12/2, 18/3, or 24/4 and including nights).
- Safety tickets required: CSO and CSTS 2020.
